As part of VH1's strive to add more variety to their network which mainly airs reality shows they are looking to Queen Latifah to produce a scripted program. The rapper/actor has produced other films such as Bringing Down The House, The Cookout, The Perfect Holiday, and Beauty Shop.
As of yet the film hasn't received a title but is a comedic drama of two African-American female best friends in their early twenties and their two very different aspects on dating and relationships. The film will be based in Atlanta, GA and will star fashion mogul Val and former music video dancer Keisha.
Although there hasn't been set a release date, there are high expectations for the success of the program and will hopefully become a regular featured series aired on VH1 if it receives a positive response.
In addition to Queen Latifah, producers Maggie Malina, Jeff Olde, and Stacy Littlejohn who produced All Of Us and Life With Bonnie will also executive produce the show which will be released from Queen Latifah's production company Flavor Unit.
Queen Latifah and her production company previously linked up with VH1 for Broke and Famous: Willie Aames which originally aired on VH1 November 5, 2009.
