In his attempts to record his first album post-incarceration rapper Shyne and his entourage were on their way to the United Kingdom this past Thursday (February 4), however they were denied entry into the country.
Shyne was attempting to enter London through Mexico since he is not allowed to enter the United States, but was turned back from immigration officials. He was reportedly denied access due to unspecified issues with his travel documents.
The Belizean rapper was released from New York prison late last year after being convicted of assault, reckless endangerment, and gun possession, and was immediately deported back to his native country, Belize. The charges, which lead to Shyne serving eight years in prison, stemmed from a now infamous 2001 incident involving him, Diddy, and Diddy's then girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez inside of a New York City nightclub.
In other news, Shyne was most recently featured on the track All My Life with Mavado and Akon, which will appear on DJ Khaled's upcoming album Victory. The project is set to be released on March 2.
Fans will have to wait a little longer for Shyne's own album however. Rappers and producers are reportedly working with the rapper in his hometown, but a release date has not been set.
