Kanye West Joins Twitter; Album Name Changed Posted: Thursday - July 29, 2010 | Comments (3)
Kanye West officially migrated over to Twitter earlier this week after initially stating that he didn’t have enough time to dedicate to tweeting and announced that his forthcoming album’s title is still undecided.
“The album is no longer called Good Ass Job. I’m bouncing a couple of titles around now,” tweeted the MC on Wednesday (July 28).
Fans aren’t wasting any time in welcoming the rapper to the social media site. The Chicago-native already has more than 200,000 followers and predictions about his upcoming tweets started a trending topic.
In other news, reports say that West’s latest project will feature collaborations with the likes of T.I. and Nicki Minaj. He previewed the album at Facebook’s headquarters in Palo Alto, California recently and even performed a few of the tracks, acapella, while standing on top of a table.
The song Mama’s Boyfriend, which is expected to appear on the final cut, holds a special meaning to him. During the event he said, “It took me 33 years of my life to write [this].It means a lot to me, and it’s called Mama’s Boyfriend. There’s a lot of use of the N-word, but I’m allowed to use it.”
“Trying to get to know me, homie just kill the charm/ You ain’t interested in me, you’re just trying to f*ck my mom,” rapped West. “We are the voices of our parents bad choices/ The aftermath of divorces/ The kids of bitter split-ups.”
